Wireless remote patient monitoring is on the radar of the mainstream media. How do we know? Because MedApps CEO Kent Dix appeared on the Fox Business Channel last week to discuss how home medical devices can upload data to physicians via cell phones--and address privacy concerns. We take issue with the assertion by the anchor that MedApps is "at the forefront" of the push toward electronic medical records, but we like how Dix mentions the fact that data from the devices tends to be more timely and recent than what's in paper charts at the doctor's office.
