SPOTLIGHT: Telehealth resource centers

The Arizona Telemedicine Program will establish a new telehealth resource center with the help of a $1.13 million grant from the HHS Health Resources and Services Administration. The new Southwest Regional Telehealth Resource Center, based in Tucson at the University of Arizona, will provide expertise on selection of electronic medical records and other technology, plus provide a help desk for healthcare organizations in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah that have or are starting telemedicine programs.
