SPOTLIGHT: Mobile telemedicine growth

Wireless and mobile applications and devices will account for 70 percent of a U.S. telemedicine market that's expected to reach $3.6 billion a year by 2014, according to a study from research firm Pike & Fischer. The major wireless telecommunications firms, led by AT&T, Verizon and Sprint Nextel, will capture sizable chunks of this market, the report says.
