SPOTLIGHT: Mobile dental practice management

We talk plenty about mobile software that helps doctors find, record and track clinical information, but a division of Carestream Health has come up with an iPhone and BlackBerry app that combines practice management and electronic records--in dentistry. Called Pearl, the app from Carestream subsidiary PracticeWorks Systems, gives dental professionals remote access to scheduling, financial, patient history and referral information from Kodak dental practice management software."The ability to respond in real-time to patient and staff inquiries from any location is an incredible asset to any dental practitioner," Carestream chief Patrik Eriksson says in a company statement.
