Med students' use of mobile technology
Take the results with a grain of salt because they're from a vendor survey, but it's still pretty clear that the next generation of doctors has wholeheartedly embraced mobile technology. Almost 90 percent of med students responding to an Epocrates survey said that information available from mobile and online drug and disease databases--you know, the kind that Epocrates offers--is highly credible, though it still lags behind medical journals. The students also say they are four times more likely to turn to a mobile reference tool with a clinical question than to ask their attending physician. Perhaps they understand that even tenured medical professors make mistakes. Press release
