Continua Health Alliance to offer library of interoperable connectivity code for smartphones

The Continua Health Alliance is building a library of source code to connect interoperable personal health devices and health records via smartphones, Healthcare IT News reports. This mobile Continua Enabling Source Library (mCESL), will be made available to all Continua members to aid in the development of connected home health technologies. "It is another important tool to enable convenient data sharing for consistent monitoring of individuals' health and wellness status that will help empower individuals to maintain greater responsibility for their health while also enabling healthcare providers to make more informed treatment decisions," Continua Health Alliance Executive Director Chuck Parker says.
